Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian with Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia Daiga Mieriņa

On April 14, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian met with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia, H.E. Daiga Mieriņa, who is on an official working visit to the Republic of Moldova.

The agenda of the discussions focused on the current situation in the Transnistrian settlement process, the governmental priorities in the field of reintegration policies of the country, as well as the efforts undertaken by the national authorities to sustainably resolve issues of interest to residents of both banks of the Nistru River.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized Chișinău's firm determination to continue a comprehensive, peaceful and sustainable settlement of the Transnistrian issue, with respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders and without affecting its European future.

Oleg Serebrian thanked for the constant support provided by the Republic of Latvia to our country, expressing confidence in the irreversibility of the European destiny of the Republic of Moldova.
