Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Roman Roșca with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America, Nick Pietrowicz

On August 28, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Roman Roșca had a courtesy meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Chișinău, Nick Pietrowicz.

Among the topics discussed by the two officials were the dynamics of the dialogue between Chișinău and Tiraspol and the latest developments in the Transnistrian settlement, in the context of the complex regional security situation.

Deputy Prime Minister Roman Roșca reviewed the positive actions undertaken by Chișinău for the economic and social reintegration of the Transnistrian region into the country’s single national spaces, reaffirming the firm commitment of the national authorities to maintain a productive dialogue within existing interaction formats, and to continue cooperation based on predictability with strategic partners.

The need to keep the human rights situation in the Transnistrian region under close attention was emphasized, as it remains alarming and requires joint efforts to restore the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens in line with international law standards.

Thanks were extended to the United States for its proactive stance and support offered to the Republic of Moldova, including on international platforms and through the substantial assistance provided to our country in numerous areas of activity.
