Meeting of the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Moldova

On 25 August 2026, the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, Alin Gvidiani, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Moldova, Evert Maréchal, accompanied by political and security affairs experts from Brussels. 

The discussions focused on the dynamics of the Transnistrian settlement process, the existing dialogue platforms and mechanisms for interaction between the two banks of the Nistru River, as well as on the development of policies aimed at the reintegration of the country.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the measures taken by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova to strengthen cohesion between the two banks of the Nistru, resolve pressing issues in the interest of citizens, eliminate existing disparities, and implement consistent measures for human rights protection. 

The importance of maintaining dialogue and properly informing about the benefits and opportunities provided within the framework of policies implemented by the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova was noted, with the aim of restoring unified national spaces and increasing the attractiveness of sectoral reintegration processes.
