Meeting of the Joint Control Commission on October 12, 2023
Today the members of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) met in their regular weekly meeting.
During the meeting, a representative from the delegation of the Republic of Moldova and a delegated member of the JCC from the Russian Federation were appointed as experts.
The Joint Military Command reported the situation in the Security Zone and exposed some aspects related to the incidents in the village of Chițcani (September 25 and 26) and the village of Gîsca (September 5), where fragments of an alleged missile were identified.
Subsequently, the Commission asked the Joint Military Command to use all available means in conducting a thorough examination of the incidents that happened in the Security Zone.
In addition, the members of the Commission from the Republic of Moldova reiterated the subject of the posts installed unilaterally by the force structures from Tiraspol and the issue of their removal from the Security Zone, which remains a priority on the agenda of the Moldovan delegation.
