Mai multă energie regenerabilă în Zona de Securitate

The Government of the Republic of Moldova continues to support the transition to clean energy sources. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the results of the tenders for granting the status of eligible producer to major investors developing photovoltaic and wind power plants in the country.

Among the 11 designated winners are three investors from localities located within the perimeter of the Security Zone, who will build wind farms in the villages of Talmaza, Purcari and Răscăieți, Ștefan Vodă district, as well as in Dubăsarii Vechi, Criuleni district.

With the commissioning of these green energy production units, approximately 8.4% of the Republic of Moldova's annual electricity consumption will be ensured. This essential contribution will strengthen national energy security, reduce CO₂ emissions, and help create a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

At the same time, the development of renewable energy sources will attract private investments estimated at over 190 million euros, directly contributing to local economic development.

During the construction phase of the green energy plants, around 400 workplaces will be created, with approximately 40 more for the operation and maintenance of the installations.

This Government initiative reflects a strong commitment to promoting a sustainable, modern, and competitive energy sector, with direct benefits for the communities in the Security Zone as well.
