Over 172 million lei were allocated over the past 5 years for the education of young people from the Transnistrian region in vocational and higher education institutions on the right bank of the Nistru River

In the last 5 years of study (2018-2023) 144.14 million lei were allocated to 4 473 budget places for young people from the Transnistrian region who chose to study in higher educational institutions on the right bank of the Nistru River.

Comparative analysis shows increasing dynamics on a certain topic. For example, in 2018, 15.78 million lei were allocated for 582 places paid from the state national budget, and in 2023 for 881 budget places (+66.1%) - 28.44 million lei (+80, 2%).

As for vocational education, 28.79 million lei were allocated for 1,268 budget places for young people from the Transnistrian region from 2019 to 2023.

Although the number of young people enrolled in this form of studies in the mentioned period remained practically at the same level, however, the resources allocated in 2023 are 90.6 % more compared to 2019 – 7,578 million lei opposed to 3.97 million lei.

It should be also noted that the interest of young people from the Transnistrian region in post-secondary vocational education in 2023 compared to 2019 practically doubled from 92 to 188 occupied budget places.
