Participation of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian in the commemorative event „UNITATEA: Puterea Solidarității”

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian took part in the commemorative event „UNITATEA: Puterea Solidarității”, organised at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova on the occasion of the three-year anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine. The event brought together officials, diplomats and representatives of civil society, highlighting solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

Together with the agreed ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Paun Rohovei, the participants held a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the war and laid flowers, thus expressing their homage to those who died in the fighting.

During his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian reiterated Moldova's strong support for Ukraine and shared commitment to European values, underlining the importance of unity and strategic partnership between the two countries. It also stressed the need to strengthen international efforts to end the aggression and restore peace in the region.

„The pain of Ukraine is also our pain, but it is the pain of the whole of Europe as well. We remained together, but alone, in the face of this terrible war. Russian aggression has changed the course of history, revealed the true faces of many, and demonstrated more than ever what democracy really means. At the same time, this war has strengthened Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and the friendship between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. I am convinced that this unity will contribute to the consolidation of the whole of Europe,” said Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian.
