Policies in the field of reintegration of the country were discussed at the first meeting of this year of the Special Commission on Parliamentary Monitoring and Control

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian participated in the first meeting of this year of the Special Commission for Parliamentary Monitoring and Control over the Implementation of the reintegration policy of the Republic of Moldova.
The members of the Commission, representatives of several public authorities involved in the process of settling the Transnistrian conflict, met on the parliamentary platform, the meeting being chaired by the new president of the Special Commission, deputy Roman Roșca.
The dialogue, for the most part, focused on current topics, among which were: the current situation in the negotiation process, respect for human rights in the Transnistrian region, free movement on both banks of the Nistru River, ensuring access to education for the residents of the Transnistrian region, the activity the eight educational institutions with teaching in the Romanian language. In addition, the measures to be undertaken to support the farmers in the Dubăsari district, who own or process agricultural land, located along the Râbnița - Tiraspol route, were discussed. Another topic of discussion was setting priorities for the current year.
The Special Parliamentary Commission for Parliamentary Monitoring and Control over the implementation of the reintegration policy of the Republic of Moldova was established at the end of 2021, at the proposal of the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu.
The purpose of the Commission is to monitor and assess the situation in the field of reintegration policies and develop proposals and recommendations that will restore trust and bring together citizens on both banks of the Nistru River.
