Potential joint activities and relevant assistance projects were addressed in the dialogue with the UN Women Moldova team

On July 4, 2023, the head of the Reintegration Policies Bureau Alin Gvidiani had a working meeting with the representatives of the UN Women Moldova team Victoria Ignat, Liuba Brînzoi and Iulia Terpan and with the national consultants Cristina Lesnic and Victoria Roșa, who facilitate the smooth implementation of the project, ,Building sustainable and inclusive peace, strengthening trust and social cohesion in Moldova”, carried out jointly by the UN Human Rights Office, the United Nations Development Program and UN Women, financed through the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.

 

Possible areas of collaboration and development of projects to strengthen capacities and increase the potential of relevant actors on both banks of the Nistru River in promoting the priorities of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda were discussed, including from the perspective of the actions provided for in the National Program for the implementation of Resolution 1325 of the UN Security Council on women, peace and security for the years 2023-2027, approved by Government Decision no. 152/2023.

 

The Bureau highlighted its receptivity to facilitate, co-organize and participate in thematic trainings, to transfer knowledge, skills, good practices and expertise on the dimension of promoting peace processes, strengthening social cohesion, accessing external assistance projects, inter-sectorial integration of the dimension of gender at national, regional and local level.
