In the Transnistrian region, “mirror” actions have been adopted to protect the residents against COVID-19, while the period for which additional measures will be applied is set until 5th April.

We are in permanent contact with the chief-negotiator from Tiraspol to overcome certain uncomfortable situations for citizens.

Today, we directly facilitated some situations from Varnița, Dubăsari, and responded to some requests of the Theoretical High School „Evrica” from Râbnița.

We would like to remind that Tiraspol administration introduced measures dictated by the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova, in particular introduction of quarantine measures, limiting the entry of foreign persons, except those who can provide the residence visa, employees of the diplomatic missions and international organizations, and transportation of goods (food and products of first necessity).

In view of the created situation, we have preliminary agreed with Tiraspol on measures necessary to facilitate the movement of categories of people who need immediate access to their jobs: doctors and personnel of medical institutions in the Security Zone, as well as those who must travel for COVID-19 tests sampling, employees of law enforcement agencies (penitentiaries, police, customs), staff of the placement centers in Cocieri and the rehabilitation center for people with disabilities, labor and war veterans, thus being remitted a written notification through Chișinău's political representative, Ms. Cristina Lesnic.

Cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Chișinăuis ensured by providing information on the demands and needs that are required, based on existing realities.

The Bureau of Reintegration Policies will continue to maintain dialogue at all levels to ensure an active, working communication and offer support to citizens who need to be informed or guided, regardless whether they are on the right or left bank.

Thereby, we call for calmness and solidarity with institutions of the central public administration for joining efforts in order to overcome the difficult situation that the Republic of Moldova faces.
