Social benefits amounting to 27.6 million lei were provided during the first half of 2025 to citizens of the Republic of Moldova residing in the Transnistrian region

In the first half of 2025, citizens of the Republic of Moldova residing in the Transnistrian region benefited from social benefits totaling 27.6 million lei, paid from the national public social insurance budget.
Accordingly, 2,752 individuals residing in the Transnistrian region received social payments, including:
617 monthly allowances for childcare for children up to 2 years old;
690 old-age pensions;
505 benefits for temporary work incapacity;
213 monthly state allowances for war veterans;
150 one-time childbirth allowances, and others.
Fulfilling social commitments to all citizens of the Republic of Moldova, regardless of their place of residence, remains a constant priority for the national authorities.
The provision of pensions, allowances, and benefits from the state budget is ensured for applicants who seek assistance from the competent national authorities, in accordance with the requirements set by the current legal framework.
