Specialists from Chișinău made a new fact-finding visit to Rîbnița to determine the mechanism for the return of the premises of the “Evrika” Theoretical Lyceum

On June 12, 2025, representatives from Chișinău conducted a new working visit to the properties located at 14 Gagarin Street in the city of Rîbnița, in the context of efforts to return them to the management of the “Evrika” Theoretical Lyceum.

This is the second visit of this kind, the first having taken place on February 28, 2025. Although Chișinău explicitly stated in its communications that specialists in the fields of cadastre and technical supervision would also participate in the technical visit, Tiraspol did not delegate any technical experts, demonstrating a lack of cooperation in advancing the processes.

The dialogue with representatives of the political representative’s office from Tiraspol was limited to their oral proposals, formulated without a clear and consistent response to the detailed position sent by Chișinău on March 21, 2025. Although the working parameters for the return of ownership and management of the buildings and land plots to the “Evrika” Theoretical Lyceum were transparently and repeatedly presented by Chișinău, Tiraspol continues to politicize the issue and condition its “openness” by imposing new restrictions.

Chișinău reiterates that the process will be considered complete only when all buildings and adjacent land plots at 14 Gagarin Street are returned to the full and unconditional management of the educational institution, with Tiraspol officially confirming that it has no claims.

The Bureau for Reintegration Policies, together with representatives from the Ministry of Education and Research, will continue to make the necessary efforts to resolve this issue and will act accordingly to protect the legitimate interests of the pupils and their parents, as well as the teachers of the “Evrika” Theoretical Lyceum in the city of Rîbnița.
