Subjects related to the situation in the Security Zone, including public order and free movement on the day of the second round of the Presidential elections, discussed in Bender by the Joint Control Commission

At the meeting of the Joint Control Commission on 24 October 2024, the Joint Military Command reported that there were no incidents in the period from 15 to 22 October 2024 in the area of ​​responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

In the context of the second round of the elections for the position of the President of the Republic of Moldova on November 3, 2024, the Delegation of the Republic of Moldova reiterated its call to ensure freedom of movement of citizens and electoral officials in the Security Zone, as well as to prevent the smooth running of the election.

It was mentioned that, in the localities of the Security Zone where polling stations will be opened, public order actions will be ensured by the territorial subdivisions of the General Police Inspectorate.
