Supply of food products and essential goods to the localities in the Dubăsari district, in the attention of the authorities

On 21 January, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Valeriu Chiveri, conducted a working visit to the Cocieri plateau, with the purpose of assessing the situation on-site in the settlements located on the left bank of the Nistru River. During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister held meetings with the mayors of Molovata Nouă and Cocieri.

The central topic of the discussions focused on ensuring the supply of food products and essential goods to the localities. In this context, Chișinău requested Tiraspol to allow unhindered passage over the Dubăsari bridge for economic agents involved in supplying the localities. According to the mayors, the situation is currently under control, and public institutions as well as residents are adequately provided with necessary goods.

Attention was also drawn to the need for rehabilitating social infrastructure and implementing projects through the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country for 2026. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the library in Molovata Nouă, destroyed by a fire, as well as the “Garofița” kindergarten in Cocieri.

Additionally, Valeriu Chiveri met with the technical staff operating the Molovata ferry to discuss the challenges faced and possible solutions, as well as the operation of the air-cushion vehicle. Following the on-site assessment, it was determined that the vessel is currently non-operational.
