Tiraspol blocked the meeting of experts in the field of Statistics

Tiraspol continues to obstruct the approach of topics of interest to the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru River.

This time, the convening of the first meeting of experts in the field of Statistics was again rejected, despite those agreed at the meeting of political representatives on November 19, 2024 and later on April 8, 2025, in the presence of OSCE officials.

Chișinău's proposal is aimed at initiating working discussions aimed at connecting the methodology for collecting and processing statistical data throughout the country, according to the principles applicable in the European Union.

The initiative of the national authorities follows a long line of proposals to hold discussions on dialogue platforms in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement for the benefit of the residents of both banks of the Nistru River, which Tiraspol constantly blocks under various pretexts
