Tiraspol was notified to renounce the intention to oblige farmers from Dubăsari district to alleged illegal customs payments

In relation to the information circulated in the public space in the Transnistrian region regarding the intention to oblige the owners and workers who cultivate agricultural lands located in the Dubăsari district to illegal customs payments, we would like to clarify that this subject was discussed at the recent meeting in the „1+1” format, held in Tiraspol. We had the conviction that Chişinău’s position was heard and understood. The political representative in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement from Tiraspol was repeatedly notified, in writing, immediately after this information appeared, being requested to swiftly clarify his position on this subject. Chișinau urges Tiraspol to abandon any restrictive actions that will limit the free access to the agricultural lands located in the Dubăsari district after the Tiraspol-Camenca road, which will only lead to increased tensions between the two banks.
We would like to remind you that currently 15 economic agents from the communes of Cocieri, Molovata Nouă, Coşniţa and Doroţcaia in Dubasari district have stored about 957 tons of corn, 776 tons of sunflower seeds, 766 tons of wheat and 50 tons of barley in grain warehouses located beyond the Tiraspol-Camenca road. In addition to the limitation by Tiraspol of the period of transport of this grain, there may also be the problem of applying illegal customs payments when passing it through the illicit infrastructure of control posts of Tiraspol. This subject will be discussed during the working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration in Dubăsari region, scheduled for the next week.
