Two thousand three hundred seventy-one economic agents from the Transnistrian region registered and placed on a register with the Public Services Agency in 2023

Data from the State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs show that until December 31, 2023, in accordance with the provisions of Government Decision No. 815/2005, the Public Services Agency (PSA) registered 2 371 economic agents from the Transnistrian region (+75.1% compared to 2014, when 1 354 agents were registered), of which 1 931 were taken for preliminary registration, and 440 for permanent registration.

Currently, based on the permissive acts issued by the competent national authorities, through the customs posts of the Republic of Moldova, economic agents from the region are actively carrying out commercial transactions, mainly with the European Union, as well as with the right bank of the Nistru River (see press release “A new record – over 70% of exports and 56% of imports belonging to economic agents from the Transnistrian region went to the European Union”).

Economic agents from the eastern districts of the country, permanently or temporarily registered with the PSA, carrying out external commercial activities, apply for and are provided with certificates of origin of the goods (forms „A”, „EUR.1”, „EUR.1 EU”, „EUR.1 TR”, „CT-1”, „C”), in compliance with the provisions of the World Trade Organisation agreements, international commitments assumed by the Republic of Moldova, and national legislation.

Thus, in 2023, according to the data provided by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Customs Service, 6 650 Moldovan certificates of origin of goods were provided to the categories of entrepreneurs mentioned above, of which 51% (3 379) were „EUR.1 EU” form.
