Working visit of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian to Cocieri and Molovata Nouă
On January 27, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, together with Roman Roșca, Deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and chairman of the Commission for Parliamentary Monitoring and Control over the Implementation of the reintegration policy of the Republic of Moldova paid a working visit to the communes of Cocieri and Molovata Nouă, located in the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova. The purpose of the visit was to communicate with residents and local authorities, assess the situation on the ground, and develop solutions to support the economic and social development of vulnerable communities.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister had meetings with the mayors of the two communes and representatives of local public authorities, addressing topics such as local infrastructure, education, health and security of citizens. Support measures provided by central authorities to overcome the energy crisis were also discussed.
An important part of the visit was documenting the work of family medicine centers, kindergartens and gymnasiums. The Deputy Prime Minister outlined the difficulties encountered in the educational process, in particular the problem of lack of heat in the premises of educational institutions, which directly affects the comfort and health of children and teachers.
„It is extremely important that these schools have the appropriate conditions for the educational process. We will work to eliminate these shortcomings so that all children can study in a safe and healthy environment,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
It should be emphasized that, in accordance with the Decisions of the Commission for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Moldova, during January of this year, funds were allocated for the purchase of the necessary volume of fuel and the acquisition of essential equipment for state institutions in several settlements located within the perimeter of the Security Zone.
