Working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration to Edineț

On Thursday, July 18, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian paid a working visit to the Edineț district, where, during a meeting with representatives of local authorities and deconcentrated services, he discussed the problems of the region and successfully implemented development projects.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted the need to strengthen interaction between central and local authorities to speed up the process of our country’s accession to the European Union (EU). Oleg Serebrian emphasized the importance of the referendum on the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the EU, which will take place this fall and will ensure social cohesion for a prosperous future of the country.

During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister, accompanied by the mayor of the city, Constantin Cojocaru, and the Head of the Territorial Bureau of the State Chancellery of the region, Eugeniu Mogorean, made a familiarization visit to the Industrial Park.

Thus, as co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Moldovan-Ukrainian Mixed Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Oleg Serebrian got acquainted with the activities of TBF Group, a Ukrainian company specializing in fruit processing.

During a discussion with Ukrainian investors, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the company’s activities and emphasized that the Government continues to support investments through policies, encourages both foreign investors and domestic companies through various programs and instruments.
