Working visit of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian to the Criuleni district

On May 27, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, together with Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Victor Spînu and representatives of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, conducted a working visit to the Criuleni district.
During the visit, discussions were held at the Criuleni District Council with the participation of the district leadership and representatives of local public administrations. The visit then continued in the commune of Bălăbănești, where a meeting took place with the mayor and other local representatives.
The topics addressed focused on the proper functioning of public services, the development of local infrastructure, and the socio-economic challenges faced by local authorities and the population in the Security Zone. The importance of active involvement of local public administration in promoting community development projects and in the efficient use of available funds through governmental and external assistance programs was emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister announced that in 2025, through the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country, the Criuleni district will receive 2.4 million lei for 5 projects, all focused on energy efficiency: the installation of photovoltaic panels and thermal insulation of public institutions in the villages of Onițcani, Boșcana, Răculești, Mălăiești, and Dubăsarii Vechi. A previously implemented project in the commune of Bălăbănești was also highlighted – the construction of a children's playground in the village of Mălăieștii Noi.
In Bălăbănești, local authorities presented the community’s needs, including the need for investments in school infrastructure, postal services, sewage systems, and waste management.
The visit concluded with a call to strengthen cooperation between central and local authorities to advance the national goal of reintegration and to further the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
