Working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration to Rezina district

On February 27, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian paid a working visit to Rezina district. During the visit, he met with the district chairman Teodor Cuculescu, the mayor of Rezina, as well as the mayors of Saharna, Lalova, Horodiște, Mateuți and Solonceni communes – settlements located within the perimeter of the Security Zone.

The discussions focused on the implementation of projects financed under the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country, aimed at developing local communities, improving infrastructure and increasing the quality of life of the region's residents.

Regarding the socio-economic situation, the interlocutors noted the importance of attracting investments and creating jobs. They emphasized the need to use the region's tourism potential through sustainable development projects that contribute to economic growth and well-being of the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru River.

The financial allocations for the localities in the Security Zone of Rezina district through the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country amounted to 11 209 800 lei. These funds were used for the construction of street lighting systems, the renovation of educational institutions, sports halls, medical and sanitary institutions and cultural centers.
