Moldova, Ukraine to mutually recognize diplomas and scientific degrees

5 March 2025, Chișinău - Moldovan diplomas and scientific degrees will be recognized in Ukraine and vice versa. The Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision to this effect today. 

The agreement signed between the two sides sets out the types of academic documents of all educational levels that will be mutually recognized. These include documents issued upon the completion of general education studies up to scientific degrees. Thus, the focus is on strengthening educational and scientific collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

The treaty allows for the recognition of the degrees and teaching titles obtained by personnel in general and vocational-technical education.

The decision will encourage professional mobility between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, with an emphasis on supporting the educational process for refugee children from the neighboring country. The agreement will facilitate the integration of Ukrainian teachers into the labor market in the Republic of Moldova.
