Moldovan PM inspects three projects improving living conditions of residents from two central Moldova settlements

6 March 2025, Suruceni, Ialoveni - The government is investing in the country's settlements, in order to improve the living standards of all Moldovans and show that Moldova can become a European country. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has made statements to this effect, who visited several projects which improve living conditions and provide new opportunities for the residents of Suruceni village and Ialoveni district.
A project under the European Village program is underway in Suruceni village, which will provide water supply for residents. The government has allocated over 9.4 million for its carrying out and the works are set to be completed in next autumn.
At the same time, Prime Minister Dorin Recean visited the local Community Centre, which has been repaired and upgraded energetically, also under the European Village programme. The project, valued at over 4.3 million lei, was finished in 2024, allowing the institution's administration to report considerable energy savings this year.
The Community Centre from Suruceni hosts the ensembles "Cimbrișor" and "Mugurașii," as well as boxing, taekwondo, crochet, embroidery and dance clubs.
Moreover, the PM inspected the works of construction of the stadium in the town of Ialoveni, which is 90-per cent financed by the district council, with seats and a roof for the stands to be set.
"The government supports investments in sports infrastructure. This stadium will provide all residents with a modern space for exercise, performance and socialization," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
In all, over the past two years, 57 projects have been completed or are underway in Ialoveni district through the European Village programme, for which the government has allocated about 230 million lei.
