Moldovan Prime Minister attends ceremony marking 33 years of State Protection and Guard Service

27 January 2025, Chișinău – Prime Minister Dorin Recean today congratulated the State Protection and Guard Service employees on the 33rd anniversary of its creation. The event was also marked by the inauguration of SPPS multidisciplinary center Mihai Eminescu.
The premier noted the dedication and resilience of the SPPS, demonstrated over its 33 years of activity. “You do not have a profession, you have a dedication and a commitment, and this commitment is for life. Moldova, through the SPPS, is part of regional security. At the European Political Community summit, you have shown impeccable security assurance for an international event,” the Prime Minister said.
Regarding the opening of the new SPPS multidisciplinary center, the official underlined that the government will continue to make investments to adapt to new security challenges. “We face increasing cyber threats and will invest in both the capabilities of the SPPS and other state institutions,” he said.
The official thanked the development partners who funded the construction of the new center, aimed at the theoretical training of officers. The project was carried out with support of Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency TIKA.
During the event, several SPPS officers were awarded the Moldovan Government Honorary Diploma, as a token of appreciation for the valuable contribution to the protection of dignitaries, as well as on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the creation of the State Protection and Guard Service.
