Photo exhibition dedicated to Remembrance and Gratitude Day opened in front of government

1 March 2025, Chisinau – A photo exhibition dedicated to Remembrance and Gratitude Day, marking 33 years since the outbreak of the Dniester war was launched today in front of the Government, in the Great National Assembly Square and simultaneously at the Presidency and Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The exhibition was opened by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and acting President of Romania Ilie Bolojan, who is on an official visit to Chisinau.
The exhibition features photographs taken by departed photojournalist Nicolae Pojoga, capturing unique moments from the events 33 years ago, with heroes who fought for the integrity, independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. Other photographs from the same exhibition are displayed on the fences of the Presidency and Parliament.
The three institutions - Government, Presidency and Parliament - organized the action in a unified effort to bring back to public attention and younger generations the heroism of the veterans and the tragic moments the country has gone through. The exhibition can be visited on March 1-10.
We remind you that tomorrow, March 2, the Government will conduct a series of commemorative activities of the heroes fallen in the armed conflict of 1992. At 10:00, citizens are invited to participate in the Memory March – the column will form in the Great National Assembly Square and walk towards Grieving Mother monument at Eternity Memorial Complex.
