Comment of the Bureau regarding the death of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova Oleg Horjan

We learned with great consternation about the violent death near Tiraspol of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova Oleg Horjan, civic activist from the left bank of the Nistru River.

The Bureau notified the national law enforcement institutions in order to investigate the case in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.

At the same time, we proposed the creation of a neutral commission of inquiry, under the auspices of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, to visit the place for an independent investigation of the circumstances of this tragic fact.

The Bureau strongly condemns criminal actions that threaten people's lives and health.

We express our condolences to the grieving family and relatives of the late Oleg Horjan.
