Working meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, the MMDA leadership, the representative of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the Country Office of the World Health Organization

A meeting on the subject of medicines and medical devices took place today with participation of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (MMDA) leadership, Eremei Priseajniuc, the representative of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Dorina Florea and the representative of the World Health Organization, Igor Pokanevych.

 

The discussions between officials aimed to address issues related to the registration of unauthorized medicines, providing patients with quality medicines, access to medicines and other topics of mutual interest.

 

Officials reviewed the evolutions in the Transnistrian region regarding import of medicines and access to medicines during the state of emergency and during the state of emergency in public health, given the Covid-19 pandemic. They also discussed the latest developments within the Working Groups of Chisinau and Tiraspol on the same subjects.

 

The discussions aimed at streamlining some processes and mechanisms that provide transparency, efficiency and visibility.

 

We would like to remind that there are 7 economic agents operating in the Transnistrian region, that are registered with the Public Services Agency on importing medicines.

 

Officials agreed to continue working together in order to ensure a proactive and sustainable partnership.
