Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, met with Marko Shevchenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova

On June 22, during the first official meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, and the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova, Marko Shevchenko, the officials exchanged views on the current situation regarding the reintegration portfolio.

The official visit is part of the Moldovan-Ukrainian cooperation, and included the follow-up to the last week visit of the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office to Chisinau.

The Deputy Prime Minister made a retrospective on implementation of the Berlin Plus package and mentioned the importance of ensuring sustainability of the results achieved on some past priorities, the challenges and difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic, human rights and freedom of movement.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, thanked the Ukrainian side for the good cooperation and for the performance of the Ukrainian representative within the 5+2 format. 

The officials expressed openness for further cooperation and for ensuring a mutually beneficial dialogue for the interests of both states.
