Evolutions and priorities on the Transnistrian file were discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, and the British Ambassador, Steven Fisher

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, had a meeting today with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Steven Fisher, who was accompanied by his staff.

 

The discussed topics pertained to cooperation between the UK and the Bureau for Reintegration on communication, issues related to health, security, assistance projects on preventing domestic violence, and opportunities for confidence building measures between both banks of the Nistru river.

 

The evolution on the subjects included in the Berlin Plus Package, as well the potential 5+2 negotiations round were also addressed.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, thanked the British Government for their support on the Catan case, which is related to the schools teaching in Romanian from the Transnistrian region.

 

Therewith, the officials also discussed future common priorities and ideas that can be considered in 2021.
