The Government has approved funding of 42 projects under the Country Reintegration Action Program

Today, the Government approved the 2020 Country Reintegration Action Program, under which 42 projects worth 15 million lei will be financed. The projects, submitted by the local public authorities between January 1 and February 10, 2020, include rehabilitation or modernization of social institutions and local infrastructure, provision of essential services to population on both banks of Nistru, etc.

"The Program aims at financing projects for development and modernization of social institutions, maintenance of buildings and aqueducts, public lighting in localities from the Security Zone, as well as actions that contribute to promoting confidence-building measures among the population on both banks of Nistru and to achieving the government's objective on country reintegration", said the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, within the Government meeting.

The projects were assessed and pre-selected by a Committee composed of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Ministry of Justice, State Chancellery and the National Anticorruption Center. 

The main goal of these projects is the citizen-oriented impact and quality services for people.

The beneficiaries of the selected projects will implement them by the end of the current budget year.

In total, between 2011 and 2019, 393 projects worth 111.74 million lei were financed.
