We would like to remind that these 8 educational institutions teaching in Romanian from the Transnistrian region are managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECR) and apply the study program similar to institutions on the right bank of Nistru.

Today, the Bureau for Reintegration, assisted by the representatives of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, monitored the process of crossing the administrative line towards the educational institutions. Withal, before 1 September, the Bureau facilitated transfer of textbooks, teaching materials, hygiene products, and supported with other requests for technical assistance.

By the beginning of the school year, the Bureau, jointly with MECR, regularly communicated with school principals and administrations of the educational institutions, while the respective Ministry provided training to teachers on compliance with the epidemiological conditions.

Children and teachers who crossed the administrative line had on them the student cards, service cards, and confirmations from the educational institutions.

Given the pandemic challenges, studies resumed according to the models proposed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and chosen by each educational institution, in order to comply with the sanitary-epidemiological norms.

The Political Representativefrom Chisinau and the Bureau for Reintegration continue to monitor the process as to ensure observance of the Moldovan citizens’ rights to freedom of movement and access to education, as well as to exclude education from the political context.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Republic of Moldova, the representatives of the Bureau for Reintegration have regularly traveled to the region to provide support to the teaching staff.
