The meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova

On 22 January 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Valeriu Chiveri, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova, Fern Horine.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the current developments in the eastern districts of the country, the main concerns of citizens on both banks of the Nistru River, and the actions undertaken by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova to improve living conditions for the population and facilitate access to quality public services, as well as to promote sectoral reintegration policies with concrete results.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the contribution of development partners, both through the promotion of assistance projects with an impact on the sustainable development of communities throughout the country, and through their support for the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at the reintegration of processes and people.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the United Kingdom’s consistent support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, as well as for its backing of Chișinău’s ongoing efforts to achieve the national objective of the reunification of the country.
