Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with Kim Zapfel, Acting Deputy Head of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Moldova

On December 12, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian held a working meeting with Kim Zapfel, Acting Deputy Head of Mission at the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.

The current situation in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process was reviewed, as well as Chișinău's short- and medium-term priorities in the field of country reintegration policies, the main challenges faced by Moldovan citizens on both banks of the Nistru River, as well as the assistance mechanisms promoted by the national authorities.

It was highlighted the need to further coordinate activities and positions on issues related to the Transnistrian file, with a priority focus on humanitarian issues and relating to the protection of human rights in the Transnistrian region.
