New school furniture for the “Mihai Eminescu” Theoretical Lyceum in the village of Corjova

The “Mihai Eminescu” Theoretical Lyceum in the village of Corjova, Dubăsari district, has received a set of school furniture for its classrooms.

The furniture was provided as part of a pilot project initiated and funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM), in partnership with the Bureau for Reintegration Policies and the Ministry of Education and Research. The project is carried out in line with the commitment of the DRRM and the Government of Romania to support access to quality education for current and future generations in the Republic of Moldova.

During the event, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri expressed his gratitude to the DRRM and the Government of Romania for their continuous contribution to supporting Romanian-language education in the eastern districts of the country. He commended the determination, resilience, and professionalism of the teachers, emphasizing the important role of the lyceum in preserving and promoting the Romanian language on the left bank of the Nistru River.

At present, 569 pupils are enrolled at the “Mihai Eminescu” Theoretical Lyceum, and the educational process is ensured by 60 qualified teachers. Through its profile and activities, the institution remains an important pillar in schooling young Romanian-language speakers in the region.
