Tiraspol rejected the mechanisms proposed by Chișinău to overcome the energy crisis

Today, January 17, 2025, at the initiative of Chișinău, a working meeting of experts in the field of energy, from both banks of the Nistru River was held in the Bender office of the OSCE Mission to Moldova in a technical format.

Chișinău has proposed effective solutions to overcome the current energy crisis, agreeing and implementing alternative mechanisms for supplying natural gas to the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, with the involvement of competent national authorities and in compliance with the normative rigors in force.

Unfortunately, Tiraspol has shown an unconstructive approach and resorted to erroneous interpretations, demonstrating its inability to positively resolve pressing issues in the interests of the residents of both banks of the Nistru River.
