4 February 2025, Chișinău - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today met Foreign Affairs Minister of the State of Israel Gideon Moshe Sa'ar. The officials discussed the partnership between the two states and pointed out the fields in which the bilateral cooperation can be boosted.

PM Dorin Recean welcomed the opening of the Embassy of Israel in Moldova today, which proves the mutual commitment for the deepening of the cooperation between the two states. ‘’The opening, as soon as possible, of the consular section of the embassy is expected by Moldovan citizens who travel to Israel on labour purposes, as well as by the Israeli citizens who live in Moldova,’’ the prime minister said.

The officials referred to the sectors in which the cooperation can be fostered and namely: agriculture, technological innovations, renewable energy, pharmaceutics, as well as the increase in the commercial exchanges. In this respect, the sides welcomed the re-launch of the work of the Moldovan-Israeli intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, which will facilitate the implementation of joint projects.

Also, Moldova and the State of Israel will cooperate on the security dimension, including as regards the cyber security. ‘’Both states are in sensitive regions and we have much to learn from each other,’’ Minister Gideon Moshe Sa'ar said.
