Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with the Ambassador of Latvia in the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Edgars Bondars

On October 25, 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with H.E. Edgars Bondars, Latvian ambassador to the Republic of Moldova.

The discussions concerned the situation in the eastern districts of the country, the aspects of interest in the negotiation process for the Transnistrian settlement and the immediate priorities in the field of reintegration policies.

The Deputy Prime Minister extended gratitude to the Latvian diplomat for the strong and constant support given to the Republic of Moldova in its endeavor to join the European Union and to restore peacefully and comprehensively the territorial integrity through the reintegration of the eastern districts.

The official also expressed his strong conviction that Moldovan-Latvian relations will continue to strengthen as the Republic of Moldova comes closer to the common European space.
