The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, had a telephone conversation with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Dunja Mijatović, about the respect of human rights in the Republic of Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region and Security Zone, under the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic emergency.

The CoE Commissioner showed interest on the situation in the Republic of Moldova, the measures taken by the Government to limit the epidemic impact and evolutions in the human rights domain.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, informed about the movement restrictions imposed by the Transnistrian side, especially for teachers of the schools with Romanian curricula from the left bank of Nistru and the medical personnel working in the Security Zone settlements.
