Six projects funded from the Country Reintegration Action Program were completed
Six projects funded from the Country Reintegration Action Program (PART) were completed by 15 August this year. The projects foresee rehabilitation and modernization of the street lighting networks in Molovata Noua, Dorotcaia, Boscana and Balabanesti, as well as creation of a Youth Center in Malaiestii Noi and the full reparation of the festivities hall in the Ursoaia Gymnasium. The total value of funds allocated from PART in the current year for the six projects is 1.6 million lei.
According to the information presented in the half-yearly reports of the local public authorities to the Bureau for Reintegration, another 36 projects are to be implemented by the end of this year.
We would like to remind that this year 42 projects worth 15 million lei were selected for funding, while the total number of the submitted projects was 120. Of this amount, 5 million lei were allocated for modernization of the educational institutions; almost 3 million lei – for reparation and endowment of administrative, cultural, sports and medical facilities; and 6.2 million lei – for street lighting and rehabilitation of aqueducts in the localities from the Security Zone.
Projects eligible for the contest have to be implemented in the Security Zone and have to foresee activities related to community and regional development, rehabilitation and renovation of local infrastructure, modernization of key social institutions, solving urgent development issues, provision of essential public services. They also have to reflect actions that contribute to promoting confidence building measures between the population on both banks of the Nistru river and to achieving the government’s goal of reintegrating the country.
In total, during 2011 – 2019 there were financed 393 projects worth 111.74 million lei.
