Current problems addressed within the Joint Control Commission

On June 4, 2026, members of the Joint Control Commission held a meeting in the city of Bender, during which they approved the decision to appoint two military observers from the Republic of Moldova.

The focus remained on problems related to removing obstacles to the free movement of citizens on public roads within the Security Zone, as well as ensuring access to the Security Zone and to Commission meetings for media representatives from the right bank of the Nistru River, in order to allow them to carry out their professional activities.

The delegation of the Republic of Moldova informed participants about the intention of the State Road Administration to carry out a technical inspection of bridges on the Nistru River in order to assess their condition and plan the necessary repair works. The inspections will take place during June-July of the current year, and Chișinău requested that no impediments be placed on specialists conducting the planned works.
