The Conference was also attended by experts and decision-makers from a number of prestigious countries, organizations, academic institutions and think tanks, including a panel of experts from the Russian Federation.

Current major security issues in the Euro-Atlantic area and other geographical areas were discussed at this major event, with a special focus on the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on international security. In the speeches that resounded during the conference, the name of our country was repeatedly heard in the context of the potential dangers and threats to its security that it has been facing lately.

Deputy Prime Minister Serebrian took part in the discussions in two thematic sessions, one on the prospects for European integration of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, and another - the same European perspectives of the Western Balkan countries, in which the Moldovan official presented our country's vision on these topical issues on the national and European agenda.

On the sidelines of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Serebrian held a series of separate bilateral meetings with Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Estonian Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, Minister of State of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Tobias Lindner and Minister of State for Europe and North America of the British Foreign Office James Cleverly, with whom he had the opportunity to exchange relevant views on current issues on the agenda of bilateral relations with these countries. The Moldovan official expressed gratitude especially to our partners for their valuable support to our country in overcoming the problems and difficulties it faces, in particular in supporting Ukrainian refugees who have found temporary shelter in the Republic of Moldova, but also for the support provided to our country in solving energy issues and promoting our European aspirations. In response, European officials reiterated their readiness to support the Republic of Moldova in overcoming the problems it faces, in implementing democratic reforms and in promoting its European agenda.
