Meeting of the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, Alin Gvidiani with the director of the OSCE Center for Conflict Prevention, Catherine Fearon

Today, 20 June 2024, the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies Alin Gvidiani had a working meeting with Catherine Fearon, Director of the OSCE Centre for Conflict Prevention.

The current state of the dialogue between Chișinău and Tiraspol, dynamics on the main issues of the negotiation process, existing challenges and opportunities, as well as steps that need to be taken in this direction were discussed.

The head of the Bureau Alin Gvidiani presented the current priorities in the field of the country's reintegration policies, including the promotion of effective policies for the reunification of unique national spaces, the protection of citizens through the positive obligations of the state towards them, the continuation of productive dialogue in the existing formats of interaction, the maintenance of a climate of regional peace and security.

The OSCE's efforts and support in facilitating dialogue in the Transnistrian settlement process and in promoting confidence-building measures between the two banks of the Nistru River were appreciated.

The discussion also included the authorities' commitment to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the process of accession to the European Union that will boost real progress in achieving sectoral policies of reintegration of the Republic of Moldova.
