Projects benefiting citizens on both banks of the Nistru River discussed with GIZ Moldova

On 21 January, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a working meeting with Dr. Verena Zell, Head of the Development Cooperation Department at the German Embassy, and Claudia Hermes, Country Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Moldova.

The discussions focused on assistance programs and projects supported by GIZ as well as the EU and Germany, Poland and Estonia, aimed at strengthening trust between communities on both banks of the Nistru River and supporting their sustainable development.

The need to continue coordinating projects and activities carried out by GIZ in the eastern districts of the country with the Bureau for Reintegration Policies was reiterated, in order to ensure the effective implementation of the country’s sectoral reintegration policies.
