Moldovan PM meets citizens from eastern Moldova settlement

27 March 2025, Dubăsarii Vechi - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has discussed with people present at the market of Dubasarii Vechi, one of the most recognized places in the Criuleni district. The residents appreciated the projects carried out by the government in recent years - investments in roads, water supply systems, educational institutions, medical centers and recreational areas.

‘’We will continue to support local producers, invest in infrastructure in settlements and build a developed country,’’ the PM emphasized.

Also in Dubasarii Vechi, Prime Minister Dorin Recean visited the 'Romanița' kindergarten, which hosts over 240 children and employs 45 staff members. The government funded, through the European Village programme, over 10 million lei for the major repair of the institution's 'A' block.

‘’The government is constantly investing in the development of educational infrastructure, in order to provide children with a safe and modern development environment,’’ specified Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

The PM also visited the 'Saint Archangel Michael' Church in the locality, which has the status of a historical monument and is the only one in the security zone that has been uninterruptedly working for 163 years. The church hosts the Macri-Donici burial vault, designed by famous architect Alexandru Bernardazzi in 1882-1883, and recently restored with the support of the European Union.

The memorial, made of marble and granite, is a pride for the locals, who recall sadly how it was desecrated by the communist regime in 1960-1961.

‘’The Macri-Donici burial vault, along with the mansion of the famous astronomer Nicolae Donici, the great-grandson of fabulist Alecu Donici, and the nearby oak grove are part of the tourist trail in the region and deserve to be discovered by as many visitors as possible,’’ said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
