The Participation of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian in the Round Table “The Current Affairs on the Transnistrian File in the Context of the Complex Regional Situation”

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian gave a public lecture regarding the Transnistrian File in the geopolitical regional context.

The event was hosted by the “Alecu Russo” State University of Balti and was attended by the faculty members, the student body, the representatives of civil society, and journalists.

During the conference, the official reiterated the strong commitment of the Republic of Moldova to resolve the Transnistrian file in a peaceful manner solely, by using all the necessary negotiation tools.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that there is no alternative to the reintegration project. “The Republic of Moldova will not give up on its eastern territories, and those who insist on the independence of the region are just delaying the negotiation process, keeping all the inhabitants of the region under their unrealistic ambitions“, Oleg Serebrian concluded.
