Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic spoke with her Ukrainian counterpart Oleksii Reznikov
The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, held a video conference today with the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Oleksii Reznikov. The parties exchanged information on the current situation and dialogue dynamics in the negotiation process, as well as the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
The parties also exchanged views on the institutional reform, the protection of human rights and other relevant issues.
The official congratulated her counterpart on the occasion of the Ukraine Constitution Day and for the recent appointment as Co-chair of the Moldovan-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, hoping that this mandate will make bilateral dialogue more effective at other levels.
Cristina Lesnic thanked for the efficient collaboration on repatriating Moldovan citizens during last months and for the support offered on international platforms. The Moldovan side also welcomed the contribution of Ukraine in the 5+2 format.
Oleksii Reznikov proposed resumption of the previously established trilateral cooperation of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.
The parties agreed to develop and strengthen partnership and cooperation relations by organizing reciprocal visits in the near future.
The officials were open and interested in an active and mutually beneficial dialogue.
